This 3-day Uganda safari gorilla from Kigali is intended for those involved in trekking mountain gorillas in the National Park of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in Uganda either for the visitors who prefer to track Gorillas but are living in Rwanda. This is also intended for travellers who want to travel Uganda but want a shorter trip. The travel time between Kigali and Ruhija is about 4-5 hours, as compared to 8-9 hours between Entebbe and Ruhija sector of Bwindi. This requires between 4-5 hours. So, instead of flying to Entebbe International Airport, you can fly in to Kigali Rwanda to meet with your guide. Who will transfer you to Bwindi instead of flying to Entebbe international airport which is a long way drive to Kibale forest National park? flying in to Kigali and tracking Gorillas in Uganda, you can save USD 900,00 for everyone tracking gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, rather than tracking gorillas in Rwanda which is expensive.

Day 1: pick up form Kigali Airport/ Lodge to start your 3-day Uganda safari from Kigali
Our company safari guide, will pick you up from Kigali International Airport/ Hotel in Kigali to start your 3-day Uganda Gorilla trekking Journey to Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park in Uganda. the journey is scenic since it will take you through Rwanda the land of a thousand hills to the Pearl of Africa.
You cross over to Uganda at the Katuna or Chanika boarder with a stop at Kabale town (when you cross from Katuna border) or Kisoro (when you cross from Chanika border) before proceeding to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park for Dinner and overnight.
Drive time: approximately 4-5 hours (depending on the location you will be tracking from)

Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable forest national park
Depending on the lodge you at, you will need to rise up early morning for the start of this activity, you will rise up at 6:30 am for a morning cup of coffee and drive to the park headquarters where you will join others for the briefing on Gorilla trekking. The rangers will take you through the dos and the don’ts while your with the mountain Gorillas, you will be divided in groups of 8 and after the guide will lead you to the starting point of your Gorilla trekking in the forest in search for the gorilla families you have been assigned for.
Please note that;
Gorilla trekking location, depends on one’s fitness, interest and age.
Gorilla trekking can be strenuous, therefore, ascertain level of fitness is required, you may inform your guide of your interests and he will try to request for you the proper gorilla group for you before the start of gorilla trekking.
Gorilla trekking can take between 30 minutes to three quarters of the day so one needs to prepare for both, you can hire a potter at an extra cost to help carry the luggage for you since the trekking may get tougher.
The guide will help locate the gorillas for you and also provide information about the different tree species in the forest, birds other animals such as forest elephants and primates including the baboons, chimpanzee, monkeys can also be sighted in this forest.
Finally when you meet the Gorillas, you will be allowed one hour to observe the Gorillas as they go about their daily activities and take photographs of the gorillas before you trek back to the park Headquarters where you will be awarded a certificates of participation in Gorilla trekking that confirm that you tracked gorillas in Uganda.
Return to the lodge for Dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Drive to Kigali Airport
After an early morning breakfast, you will start your journey back to Kigali Airport, you may have an optional city tour, where you will visit the top city attractions including the local markets, genocide memorial centres among others. You will have lunch at the restaurants in Kigali city. After, the driver guide will drop you off at Kigali Airport for your scheduled flight home or at the hotel of your preference.
